Hello October and a Few Notes
A FALL START
“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.”
― F. Scott Fitzgerald
There is always a feeling of a fresh start as the weather begins to shift. I love this time of year and how October awakens change. It’s a transformative month full of warmth, from the crispness in the air that invites us to add that additional layer to nature’s color palette of the season—golden hues and earthy shades. Sweater weather, candle light, fall foliage, good books in bed, and comforting soup—I’m ready for it. All of it.
A FEW NOTES:
I don’t head out to the movies that often, but I managed to catch Downton Abbey opening night— so good!
The Dutch House by Ann Patchett is a new read I’m dying to dive into. I also loved Commonwealth and This is the Story of a Happy Marriage.
After coming across this recipe in my inbox, I know it’s one I’ll always keep in my repertoire— especially for the chilly days ahead.
